Last week Milwaukee Tool released the fourth and final episode of Milwaukee PIPELINE, the company’s virtual trade show highlighting the new product releases planned for the coming year. PIPELINE Episode Four had plenty to showcase, focusing on new personal protective equipment and lighting solutions.

Without further ado, here is everything Milwaukee Tool brought to the table in the last episode of PIPELINE.
Personal Protective Equipment
PPE is a new category for Milwaukee Tool, one the company chose based on feedback from professionals working in the field who were unhappy with their safety gear.
“We understand that safety has never been more important to them [tradespeople], and we understand the opportunity,” said Derek Rose, director of product marketing for Milwaukee Tool. “We understand the frustrations … they’ve told us about it, and for us, we see this as an opportunity to keep those users safer and more productive on the job — and that makes us all passionate.”
Hard Hats and Bolt Accessories
The first new equipment shown off in PIPELINE Episode Four were Milwaukee’s hard hats and their impressive BOLT accessory system. These hard hats are designed with “accessory slots” so things can be firmly clipped on and attached around the hat without straps. BOLT accessories available with these hardhats include:
-
- Earmuffs;
- Visor and sun shade;
- Face shield;
- Headlamps.
Eye Protection
Milwaukee’s new safety glasses are packed with small but helpful features. Most importantly, they’re made to be completely fog free and will not fog up when users walk from an indoor to outdoor environment (or vice versa). They’re also scratch resistant, with a host of lens color and magnifying options that can be customized based on work environment or job type.
Face Masks
No set of personal protection equipment in 2020 is complete without a quality face mask. Milwaukee announced two new face masks in PIPELINE Episode Four. One is a standard two-layer mask; the other is a three-layer mask with a more structured design. Both feature an anti-microbial treatment and moisture-wicking layers to help keep things dry.
Lighting Solutions
After wrapping up the PPE portion of the episode, PIPELINE shifted towards Milwaukee’s latest innovations in jobsite lighting solutions, showing off new products ranging from pocket-sized to more than four feet tall.
USB Rechargeable Flashlights
PIPELINE Episode Four introduced two new flashlights for pros, the USB Rechargeable 1100L Twist Focus Flashlight and the USB Rechargeable 800L Compact Flashlight. These lights run off USB Redlithium USB 3.0 batteries and boast more than 13 hours of runtime. Both are made for the construction jobsite. They’re designed with an IP67 rating for protection from dust and water and tested to withstand falls of up to four meters.
M18 Rover Dual Power Flood Light
The M18 Rover Dual Power Flood Light is a powerful but portable flood light. Its 4,000 lumens of light are more than enough to drive the shadows out of a room, and its compact build and built-in handle make it easy to maneuver and carry around. The Rover can run off an M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 battery pack for up to 12 hours, or be plugged in to an extension cord for all-day use.
M18 ROCKET Tower Light/Charger
Milwaukee also unveiled its next generation of tower lighting, the M18 ROCKET Tower Light.
“In 2016, we gave users a tower light solution that solved all the common frustrations users had with halogen stand lights,” said Jason Isaacs, group product manager for Milwaukee Tool. “This year, we’re making our most fully featured cordless tower light even better with the introduction of our second-generation tower light/charger, complete with all the features users came to know and love and 2X the lighting output of the original model.”
The next-gen ROCKET Tower can be extended up to seven feet so users can maximize the reach of the light. Its multi-directional light head makes adjusting your light simple.
M18 PACKOUT Light/Charger
The final product of PIPELINE Episode Four was the new M18 PACKOUT Light, a lighting solution designed for Milwaukee’s PACKOUT storage system. Milwaukee officials saw tradespeople in the field rigging their own lights to work with their PACKOUT system. While definitely creative, these were not exactly ideal. So Milwaukee set about designing lights intended from the ground to work with PACKOUT.
They came up with a light that sits on top or within a modular PACKOUT system. The lights themselves come with nine modes. Users can choose between “All Lights,” “Main Panel” or “Back/Front Lights” modes, then further adjust from there between high, medium and low settings.
