The Target Anniversary Design Collection

Target is celebrating its 20th anniversary of affordable design by opening its design archives. The Anniversary Collection features their most-loved and favorite products from 20 past designer collaborations. Some of the iconic designers include Missoni, Michael Graves Design, Zac Posen, Philippe Starck, Hunter, John Derian, Lilly Pulitzer, and many more.

If you love Target, be sure to check out some of our favorite decor pieces from the retail giant.

This Anniversary Collection celebrates Target’s industry impact in making design both affordable and accessible to everyday customers. The collection includes home decor, apparel, kitchen essentials and accessories that will have shoppers reminiscing over their favorite Target design pieces from 1999 and forward.

Mark Trittion, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target explains, “This anniversary celebrates our rich design history and the diverse range of partnerships we’ve offered our guests for the last 20 years.” He goes on to explain that, “Target has forever changed the retail landscape by doing what once was considered impossible—offering great design at an incredible price.”

If you missed one of these design collections in the past now is your time shop! All of the nearly 300 products are limited-edition and will range in price from $7 to $160. The collection drops in-stores and online on September 14th. The designer collections and products available will vary by store. (Plus: This is what the big red spheres outside of Target are for).

How Target Revolutionized Accessible Design

Target is also raising a glass to their next 20 years of design by publishing a book entitled, “Target: 20 Years of Design for All: How Target Revolutionized Accessible Design.” This book highlights Target’s inclusive nature of design, its iconic collections and the history of their partnerships.

That’s not all, Target is also releasing a documentary film later this fall about their fresh approach to affordable design, how it has changed the retail industry and how it has changed customers lives by making design accessible to everyone. Check out the trailer here.
