Lowe’s Revamps In-Store Shopping Experience for Pros

Lowe’s announced changes to its stores last week to benefit construction professional customers, adding services to make shopping trips for Pros faster and more convenient.

“We want to make sure any time spent away from the jobsite is efficient and productive for the Pro customer, especially small- to mid-size companies,” said Fred Stokes, Lowe’s senior vice president of pro sales and services. “We’ve enhanced our shopping experience, bringing in new products and services that help add value to each trip Pros take and cut down on the number of stops they make throughout the day.”

Here are some of the new amenities and Pro-focused features coming soon to Lowe’s locations across the U.S.:

  • The Pro Zone: A dedicated area near the entrance of the store stocked with popular items for Pro customers, including newly released products and value packs.
  • Pro trailer parking: Parking lots will be redesigned to offer extended spots for trailers in convenient locations.
  • Convenience rack: A one-stop shop filled with items like pain relievers, sunscreen, hand ointment and other everyday essentials.
  • Free phone charging stations.
  • Dedicated Pro checkout.

Other services, including windshield cleaning and free air stations, are expected to roll out over the next year.

This revamp is yet another step Lowe’s has taken to position itself as “The New Home for Pros.” Since early 2020, Lowe’s has launched its Lowe’s For Pros Loyalty program, introduced Lowe’s Tool Rental, and redesigned the layout of its stores to cater more exclusively to their Pro customers.

“The new offerings are the latest way we are showing our commitment to better serving Pro customers and making their stops at Lowe’s even easier,” said Stokes.
