The Home Depot just announced its first “Perk Week,” running from Monday, Jan. 18 through Friday, Jan. 22. The home improvement company said it initiated Perk Week to thank members of its Pro Xtra loyalty program.

The event includes a special surprise Perk that will be available Jan. 27 to every eligible Pro Xtra member. To claim it, Pro customers must scan the Virtual ID on their Home Depot app at checkout before making an in-store purchase, or log in to their Pro Xtra account before an online purchase. Any purchase of any amount will qualify a Pro Xtra member’s account for the surprise Perk.

The surprise Perk will vary randomly, ranging from 10 to 100 Pro Xtra dollars to free drinks and snacks, all redeemable through the Home Depot mobile app. Non-members can still participate in Perk Week if they sign up for an account, open the app, and make an authenticated purchase by Jan. 22.

The Home Depot first announced major expansions to their long-standing Pro Xtra program back in early October. Those included the addition of shopping perks as customer rewards and a more mobile friendly user experience.  Pro Xtra Perks were the main update to the rewards aspect of the loyalty program. Perks included discounts on in-store tool rentals and the aforementioned Pro Xtra dollars, which serve as The Home Depot’s digital rewards card.
